Piedad Del Rocio Ariza, 50, Little Ferry Resident

LITTLE FERRY, N.J. -- Piedad Del Rocio Ariza, of Little Ferry and Charlotte, died on Thursday, March 9. She was 50.

Born in Cali, Colombia, Ariza immigrated to the United States in 1983, living in North Carolina and Little Ferry. She owned and operated Piedad Hair Studio, in Huntersville, North Carolina, and she was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Church, in Hackensack.

She is survived by her children, Nathalie Rocio Vargas and Sebastian Vargas, and her mother, Maria Herlinda Garcia.

The funeral will be Saturday, March 11, meeting at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 50 Lodi St., in Hackensack, for a 10 a.m. mass. Visitation will be on Saturday evening, from 6-8 p.m. at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., in Garfield. Cremation will be private.
